Yes, it is easy to replace. You have to open the side panel saying "open this side for maintenance" and filter has push-lock fittings which is easy to remove and install.
250psi pump has a thermal safety switch. These pumps are made in USA pumps; Thermal safety is a required feature for these types of motors and is installed by the motor manufacturer. It is a safety feature and designed for motor longevity. Whenever motor's temperature reaches to certain level, it shuts off the motor to cool-down and turns on automatically after a while.
If this pumps are ran in small intervals with given a time to cool down, pumps works fine. You can use this pumps if your application need this pumps to use intermittent.
